Gofer started as Untitled Film, a platform built to help emerging filmmakers get discovered.
Then we started working with brands. We kept hearing the same thing: more social, more ads, more product videos, more campaigns, more everything.
At the same time, we knew there were incredibly talented emerging filmmakers in LA who wanted exactly what brands needed: real opportunities to create.
So we built Gofer.
We connect companies with vetted emerging filmmakers and manage the entire production from start to finish.
Better content for companies. Real opportunities for filmmakers. A better way to create.
Founded by a filmmaker, at LMU.
Gofer was founded by Ned Swartz, a filmmaker who saw both sides of the problem up close. Talented people around him were making excellent work with no clear path to paid opportunities, and the brands he talked to needed content and did not know where to find the right people.
The company grew out of the film community at Loyola Marymount University, a top 5 film school and one of the schools we source our vetted filmmakers from, which is still where a lot of our network and our events begin.
The mission did not change. It got stronger.
Helping emerging filmmakers was always the point. The difference now is that they get real paid work instead of just a place to showcase, and brands get content made by people who care about the craft.
We're more than just coffee runners, but of course, we'll Gofer it!
